Julie has over thirty-five years of hair dressing, beauty and business experience; after seven years of hard work - building up her salon, staff and clientele - she has gained a reputable and established name for herself and her salon. After winning 'Salon of the Year' for the third time in mid-2015, Serenity Hair and Beauty has undoubtedly earned its place as one of the best salons in Hastings.
Mark has been a hairdresser since 1983 and has spent the last 28 years working in London for an award winning leading international hairdressing brand. He holds the prestigious L’Oréal colour degree and enjoys creating the total look for a client and embraces a challenge. He is a good listener and believes the secret of good hair is working with each clients individual needs, and is very passionate about his craft and believes that great service is key. Vicky has been with us from the beginning working her way up from stylist to our Senior Stylist and late 2013 became acting manager of Serenity Hair and Beauty rooms, Vicky throughout her years of being on the shop floor has gained extensive training and a vast area of technique, style and colour earning her certificates in Loreal Professional Love Retail workshop, Long hair workshop with Jonny Engstrom and Balmain Hair additions, also winning awards such as Observer ‘Stylist of Year’ 2010.
Michael has over 20 years’ worth of experience and training. starting out his career in Hong Kong where he trained in 2 of the top salons before working his way up to becoming a stylist. From Hong Kong, to London, to Hastings, Michael joined our Serenity team in 2009. Michael’s years of experience and unique character has gained him loyal customers throughout the years. Michael’s enthusiasm comes from every day people and it is a very important to Michael to feel a connection with his clients, he takes inspiration from observing different people and they’re lifestyles to achieve the most personal result for them. There’s no such a thing as a bad hair day!!
Ashleigh came to us in 2009 after training in level 2 NVQ Beauty Therapy. Upon being in Serenity, she decided she would love to go into the hairdressing industry and trained with us to become the stylist she is today. Ashleigh has always continued her beauty work and now has got her dream job doing hair alongside doing beauty treatments for her regular clientele. Ashleigh carries a professional and warming ambiance, whilst always striving to achieve the best results in her work.
Abbie started her training in mid-2011 and has been with us since late 2012 building up her career from Training Assistant to a fully qualified Stylist in late 2014 gaining more confidence and experience as time goes on. Over the years of being with us Abbie has extended her knowledge by keeping her training up to date with the latest trends from, top of the range Balmain hair additions, Kerasilk smoothing treatment, receiving a L’oreal Professional Diploma in Love Retail and a number of L’oreal Colouring Diplomas. She loves to get her creative mind flowing with doing hair-design and also using our funky crazy colours, creating bright and beautiful looking hair and experimenting with both classic and alternative hair ups, specializing in all ranges of plaiting.
Since 2020 Abbie is now a member of Label.M session styling team working for London fashion week.
Lia joined Serenity in mid-2016. She has worked previously in hairdressing for 3 years and started with a Saturday job whilst still at school. Lia started with us as a training assistant and has been progressing her skills and confidence further since joining us to and has since became a Stylist. Lia’s favorite aspect in hairdressing is Colour, specifically the technique Balayage.
Since 2020 Lia is now a member of Label.M session styling team working for London fashion week.
Ellinor is a Full Time Beauty Therapist and has been with us at Serenity since 2014. She has a Level 2 Beauty Therapy and Level 3 Spa Therapy Diploma and has gained further qualifications in Elemis Spa Therapy, Ellipse IPL, Eyelash Extensions, Cryosthetics and Microblading. Ellinor is a keen learner and loves broadening her knowledge in the Beauty Industry. Ellinor has a very loyal clientele and exceeds at giving her clients the most welcoming and enjoyable experience.
Imogen is a level 2,3 & 4 fully qualified beauty therapist, she was born in Hastings and has lived in this beautiful little town all her life. she had a love for beauty ever since she was little wanting to make people feel pampered and relaxed! her favourite treatments are massages and facials, she love's when her clients leave with a smile on their face feeling refreshed and energised from their serenity experience as it puts a big smile on her face.
Hannah is our Hair apprentice who is studying her second year at Uckfield College. When she’s not busy learning, she is enjoying assisting around the salon, welcoming clients and getting to know the industry. Hannah is looking forward to progressing in her apprenticeship and starting her hairdressing journey.
Gracie is currently doing an apprenticeship in hairdressing at serenity and has recently qualified with a distinction in beauty therapy. She loves welcoming clients warmly into the salon and being attentive to all their needs. Her favourite thing to do in the salon is washing hair and finishing with a relaxing head massage. She also loves the responsibility of keeping the salon stocked up, tidy and clean (she's a bit of a clean freak!) Her favourite beauty treatments are lash lifts and gel polish with ombré glitter, she loves to see the before and after results and seeing clients leave satisfied and pampered!
Tia joined the Serenity team in early 2020 as a hair apprentice and is studying her first year at Uckfield College. When shes not busy learning all things about hair, she is enjoying assisting around the salon & getting to know the industry and our clients. she's looking forward to progressing in her apprenticeship and is most interested in learning about all colour techniques and learning about the hair structure as she feel the health/strength is the most important aspect of hairdressing to make the hair as beautiful as possible.
